Our history

THE DAY COMES TO PICK UP AND GO

In a biker’s life there are sunny days filled with the smell of grease and the roar of speed. Unforgettable days, when girls stop and stare. And then there are days made to take a break, and to shake off every unnecessary little thing before starting again.

THE RACER

Come rain or shine, Marco Lugato has been riding a motorcycle since he was 14. His first love was off-road motorcycling. He tried his first jumps between the mud, gravel, and sweat of enduro competitions. Then he landed on the racetrack – his new passion.

THE RACER

In the 1980s, Marco was in pole position at every road race. After one too many bruises, he decided to pursue speed from his workshop – armed with an angle grinder, a welding torch, and the perseverance that has made his name.

THE DESIGNER

It’s hard to draw a line between static and dynamic. With no name or definition for it, you can only find it by syncing up with the rhythm of true essence. Marco runs after that line in the night, heading out of the city on his motorcycle. He finds it, at last, back in his workshop – with sharp, smooth-running thinking, and the kind of focus that rules out any superfluity.

THE MECHANIC

Music and mechanics have so much in common – and Marco always “fine-tunes” motorcycles before riding them. From 2004 to 2008, he worked in a dealership, refining his ear for two-cylinder harmony. That’s when he made his first custom bikes, and his garage started hitting all the right notes.

A STAR IS BORN: DI FERRO

After allowing himself the luxury of a short break, Marco decided to run alone. He started his adventure in a small garage in the provincial setting of Mogliano Veneto. His first rumble was a Guzzi Scrambler, blazing the trail for a new brand, a new team, and a nonconformist style – Di Ferro style.

THE HYSTORICAL MOTORCYCLES

Inspired by a woman from Pesaro – a city of motorcycle lovers – this café racer enhanced the Bavarian mechanics of a BMW R65. Its massive heart was designed to contrast with the rawboned back, while the frame was altered to fit a handcrafted seat. No doubt this was Di Ferro’s leading lady.

INSTANT CLASSIC

Classic aesthetics is direct, streamlined, well proportioned. It creates order out of chaos. Di Ferro answers its calling to the world of motorcycles by going back to the roots of custom models. Exclusive yet understated vehicles made for everyday riding. Intuitive and warm, like the passion that brought them to life.

THE NEW DI FERRO MOTORCYCLES

Today new Di Ferro models put a contemporary twist on the archetypes of custom motorcycles: bobbers, flat-trackers, and scramblers. They feature modern frames and natural elements: aluminum and leather, nothing else.

COME WITH ME

A few more words about Di Ferro motorcycles. What is behind their essentiality? Italian know-how, and the ability to bring craftsmen, biking enthusiasts and sportsmen together, around the same idea of beauty. One day, you feel that idea calling. It’s pure instinct, like riding a Di Ferro motorcycle.
